Support for macOS 11 Big Sur and Apple Silicon

Work on Stay 1.4 is nearly complete, and by far the biggest change is native support for Apple Silicon Macs. Ordinarily I’d be comfortable just releasing the new version once I’d completed my own testing, but Stay 1.4 also includes a major rewrite of a lot of Stay’s internals, so I’ve decided to start with a beta release in the hope of identifying and fixing any potential problems ahead of the full public release.

As this is a beta release, we highly recommend creating a backup of your Stored Windows prior to installing it. You can back up your Stored Windows by making a copy of the folder at:

~/Library/Application Support/Stay/

The current beta release (version 1.4b2) of Stay can be downloaded here. Stay 1.4 requires a minimum of macOS 10.15.7.

• Compatibility fixes for Tweetbot, Stickies, and Skim.

General Changes:

• Rewrite of Stay’s internals to better support development of new features.
